Location[edit]

The hospital is in unincorporated Washington County. Both Portland and Beaverton are nearbye. If you review Portlands GIS info for the property (based on the address given by the hospital) you will notice that no taxes go to Portland. Compare to a lot in downtown. The mailing address is Portland, and that may have led to the confusion. The Portland city limits end a few miles to the east. See this zoning map. —EncMstr (talk) 06:34, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Closing date for the old St Vincent campus[edit]

Is there a citation for the 1971 closing date? I was born at the old hospital in 1978... Ptelder (talk) 19:03, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, see the footnote at the end of the sentence. I will also add a citation shortly from a 1970 Oregonian article talking about the transfer of patients to the new facility complete with a photo of the completed building in the background. Perhaps you are confusing St. Vincent's with Good Sam, with another now closed hospital (Physicians I think was the name) in NW, or maybe a clinic or something else took over at the old site and you were born there. Providence St.Vincent Medical Center in the media[edit]

I'm not sure if this is a suitable topic but it has been mentioned favourably in the national media (the Pink glove dance that was a viral success for example) as well as other bizarre mentions (covert affairs used an exterior shot of Providence St Vincent as an exterior shot of a hospital where the lead character was being treated in Washington D.C. area...) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.173.0.22 (talk) 00:32, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that is the second building, not original.
