Online search no longer available?[edit]

Our article says:

The Register down to 1913 has been digitised, and is available on the ScotlandsPeople Website (maintained by the National Records of Scotland). Searching the index is free, but there is a fee to view the page images.

However, I've been all over that website and other NRS pages pertaining to the Public Register, and there seems to be no extant online-search option, only information that one can book an appointment at the ScotlandsPeople Centre to search the digitised archive in person [1].  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  06:00, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SMcCandlish: The search option is still there, it's just difficult to find (and you need to make an account in order to use it). I've edited the article to include a direct link. Zacwill (talk) 04:19, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Greatly improves the article, and it was a personal help to me as well, for a family-history project.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  07:10, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
