What kind of wrestler?[edit]

The article calls him a "professional wrestler" but that term usually refers to the WWE kind of wrestler, not an olympic or greco-roman competitive wrestler which, considering his age and place of origin might be more likely. I have looked for any extra information but I can't find any, sadly.*Treker (talk) 04:28, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

False[edit]

The claims of these various Indian peasants of extreme old age are clearly false. Most of these people do not reach old age. But they generally look old at an early age. Western and Japanese people can and do reach extreme old age in rare cases. These Indian reports should take into account that there is no verified birth date, that corruption is rampant in India, and that it is very tempting for a peasant to claim to be their father or grandfather - to get a pension etc. Similar conditions and political considerations also led to many such claims in Georgia whilst Stalin was alive. They should not be reported as fact and should be taken with a 'pinch of salt'. In fact there should not even be an article on this person. Of course if his age can be independently proven I would be happy (and amazed) to hear it.Royalcourtier (talk) 20:07, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Werther he is really the world's oldest father or not doesn't really mater since he has already reached notability even if it turns out to be a fraud. Also a lot of your statements about these people seem very biased, not just people of western or japanese descent become very very old, that just ridiculous. To some people's amazement not everyone outside of those parts of the world lives in an undeveloped shithole like some seem to think.
This person does live in a pretty rural era but that isn't evidence of anything. Since you don't seem to have any real counter evidence either I would teel you to not say that this is "clearly false" because you don't know. You are correct that the article shouldn't say that this is fact either, but since you edited it to say that the person claims to the oldest father it's fine now like it is.*Treker (talk) 21:25, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
