In this edit, Eviolite added a link to the article Matrix decomposition. As I read that article, it takes as its scope only matrix factorizations, whereas the phrase it's attached to is not quite that. On the other hand, the second half of the article does give (implicitly) a factorization of M using R -- is it one of the ones listed at Matrix decomposition? --JBL (talk) 13:23, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@JayBeeEll: I personally am not very familiar with linear algebra terminology, so if it seems wrong it probably is. Looking at the articles again it does seem that the given equation is not a decomposition per se as it's not factorizing it. eviolite(talk) 13:50, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
