Q: Why was my last edit identified as vandalism when the content is purely opinion and not backed up?

A: Because of just that. It was your opinion. I believe that Wikipedia is based on facts that are proven and backed up.

Some minor changes

I made some changes in the text. First of all the Yezidis are all ethnic Kurds not predominantly, this is actually a well known hallmark of the yezidis. Now this is not a nationalistic opinion it is a fact and it is a result of the endogamy within the Yezidi religion. Kakeyi is not a separate religion but actually a local name for the Yarsan derived from the Kakeyi tribe in the germiyan area who are yarsan. Shabak is also regarded as Alevi, the shabaks are only the name of a Dimili speaking Alevi tribe near Mosul. They are neighbors with the Gurani speaking Yarsan Bajellani tribe. recent reverts of POV offensive modifications added by some propagandist

1. on wikipedia 'Shia' is used, not 'Shiite', so when a vandal replaces all 'Shia' occurrence by 'Shiite' while maintaining the internal link, this leads to useless and meaningless redirections
2. wikipedia is not a place for advertising of blogs like juancole.com by replacing existing references by raw links towards this particuler blog/site
3. an 'Atheism' section was added with only POV content (what has the rape of children to do with atheism?) although such a section should be added, but with proper, checked content, e.g. there are census statistics from the Baath era (there is even already a stub over 'Irreligion in Iraq' (why not 'Atheism'?), but the vandal/propagandist obviously didn't even search through wikipedia to find it)

Contradiction?

The opening paragraph and the chart on the right state different figures for the percentage of Christians in Iraq - but both quote from the same source! Which is right? 90.215.69.19 (talk) 00:23, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

NPOV and Zoroastrianism

on 2017-11-17 this statement: Zoroastrianism was one of the dominant religions in Kurdistan before the Islamic era. In the 20th century, Kurdish nationalists mentioned Zoroastrianism as a Kurdish religion to oppose the political oppression of Turks, Persians, and Arabs. was changed to: Zoroastrianism was one of the dominant religions in Kurdistan before the Islamic era. In the 20th century, Kurdish nationalists mentioned Zoroastrianism as a Kurdish religion to oppose the political oppression by Turks, Persians, and Arabs. That completely changes the meaning. So, since there's no source, I opted to remove the statement entirely. If someone else comes up with a supporting source, then it can be restored. --Cpflieger (talk) 20:50, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
