Religion statistics

I have just updated the sources using the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the UK[1]. Then going to All about Kazakhstan on the left side of the page, Country profile and scrolling down to Download full Country Profile 2007 in PDF format. I have deleted the previous data of CIA or US Department of State, because it is not updated from government sources, it is also from a 1994 statistics or information, which is very old. I think Wikipedia should provide with the latest statistics when available, so I have applied it on the page. Moshin (talk) 16:19, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Should the listing of religions include only "Roman" Catholics? Since many of the Catholics in Kazakhstan are ethnic Ukrainians and Belorussians, isn't it likely that some of them are Eastern Rite Catholics?MatthewGalvin (talk) 16:10, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Contradictions

Just to begin with, the table in the lead states there are 53.7% Muslims, while in the Christianity section it states there are 47%. Guy0307 (talk) 11:28, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Are there other contradictions as well, or have you now fixed them all in your string of 5 June edits? Please be explicit if you want other editors to try and help with fixing the contradictions. --Zlerman (talk) 05:12, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
No, my edits fixed the refs, but I did not attempt to fix the contradictions. What I think we should do is keep the 53% figure, and get rid of the 47% figure as it is unsourced. Guy0307 (talk) 09:31, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
  • There are an additional set of contradictions as well. Namely, the first paragraph states that 44% of the population is Russian Orthodox, but the chart says that 7.8% are Russian Orthodox. I believe that the first paragraph means to say "Christian" rather than Russian Orthodox, but that doesn't add up with the chart either. Metromoxie (talk) 16:53, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
