Private life[edit]

This private life stuff is getting out of hand - cite or delete methinks. --Falcadore (talk) 13:07, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New section[edit]

I have added an Activism section due to Kelly's support of the Oscar's Law campaign (the section may require renaming), as this is a significant campaign worth adding.--Soulparadox (talk) 15:02, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's a singnificant addition if there is significant coverage of Kelly in relation to the subject. While it may be an important subject, Kelly's support of it is trivial. Should probably be removed unless there is a reliable source that Kelly has active support of the subject. --Falcadore (talk) 07:16, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will add further citations; part of my reasoning is to reflect the fact that Kelly is involved with a charitable cause beyond just his racing. It seems reasonable to presume that such activity by people like Kelly is undertaken due to a pride underpinning their decision to become involved. I also think it is important that figures like Kelly are perceived and understood as multi-dimensional people who are not just "celebrities". I am aware that original research is disallowed on Wikipedia, for good reason, but if both Kelly and his management were asked about this matter, I would be incredibly surprised if a decision is made to omit such information. Of course, I do not expect to expand this section beyond what currently exists, but I certainly think that it is worth mentioning (in the same way that other celebrities have been recognized for their charity work). Furthermore, I do not own a dog or support the campaign in any way.--Soulparadox (talk) 07:49, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have also changed the section title so that it is more accurate.--Soulparadox (talk) 07:53, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
