Photography[edit]

I'm pretty sure there isn't a Photography major at RMCAD, as far as I've heard from my fellow students.

New program, BFA Commercial Photography with areas of emphasis in Commercial Photography and Photojournalism. Launch Date 8-29-13.

Photography is a concentration in the fine arts department. They have a little video explaining what that means on their fine arts overview page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.109.194.97 (talk) 14:28, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Faculty[edit]

The notable faculty section does not have notable faculty. It is just a place for them to list their department chairs. I am concerned that this article is written without any citations, and feels like an advertisement for the school. I am going to remove the "Notable Faculty" section. If someone else disagrees, please let them discus it here, and we can consider reverting it.--Theredproject (talk) 02:01, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are notable faculty at RMCAD: The denver post called Clark Richert Colorado's most important painter and Jaime Carrejo's recent installation at the Denver Art Museum was noted in the New York Times. That said, neither of them have a WP page article and so are not allowed to be considered notable by WP editors (which seems a bit narrow of an interpretation of notability by WP if you ask me). History[edit]

In RMCAD current history section there are many details about Full Sail University which is a different institution saying "In 2010, a group of investors who own Full Sail University purchased a controlling share of the college from the Steele family, and began an initiative to restructure the college and curriculum. In 2014, amidst a turnover of a significant number of key faculty, RMCAD rescheduled its in-person campus courses to align with the scheduling of online classes, and to cut costs moved most liberal arts courses on line. Currently, RMCAD is affiliated with Full Sail University."

As this information emphasizes somewhat recent events in a negative tone I believe that it should be removed. It appears to me that whoever wrote this has a personal opinion on Full Sail, RMCAD, and the faculty. I think the full section should be deleted as it promotes a negative and biased message on the page. Jrubald (talk) 19:11, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We don't remove or alter information simply because it's negative. ElKevbo (talk) 02:23, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
