Date of origin?[edit]

I've found a description which came with a badge of the rood, which dates it to the 1420s. It's hardly a reliable source, but if anyone else finds something which supports (or contradicts) this, please add it to the article; I can't find anything else myself. --xensyria^T 15:42, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph[edit]

I agree that we are unlikely to find a pre-16th-century drawing, showing the Rood of Grace, though I suppose it's not impossible. Canterbury Cathedral Archive might have something. So I have added a 14th-century picture of a water and levers automaton, showing how they made that sort of thing at that time.
