Did you know... that Roosevelt's World War I volunteers, a unit similar to Roosevelt's Rough Riders of the Spanish-American War, were authorized by the U.S. Congress to fight in France in 1917, but President Woodrow Wilson refused?

To move them to WikiSource, we are going need to be able to source them a little more effectively than currently, so will need that extra detail as part of the Transwiki. Note that being at WS still enables quick and easy linking. -- billinghurst (talk) 14:05, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What would the divisions have been called?[edit]

Presumably not 'Roosevelt's World War I Volunteers' because the war wasn't yet called World War One.Paul J Williams (talk) 10:21, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
