Length[edit]

I think that the differences in figures for the length of the ship can partially be explained by the fact that some include the pipe-laying gear and some exclude it. According to Allseas themselves [1] the ship is 300m long without the stinger. They don't say how long the stinger is but judging by the photograph it would seem to be at least a third of the length of the ship itself. The company ought to know how long their own ship is, and I can see no reason to think that they would lie about it, so I'll put the 300m figure in the article and explain that it excludes the stinger. Or maybe we should follow The Irish Independent and use that traditional Irish unit of measurement, the Croke Park? Phil Bridger (talk) 13:28, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
