Term?[edit]

The article says he was in office for 25 years. The article List_of_Florida_Governors says he was in office for 2 years. Which is it? 207.203.80.14 12:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, 4 years. But still the same problem. 207.203.80.14 12:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

family[edit]

The "family" section is a morass of ambiguous dates, and I was unable to fix them, just marked them. The subtlest such is the statement "surviving grandchildren reside". I added the reference to the death of his grandson SLH 3rd, but since there's not a complete list of grandchildren, I do not know whether SLH 3rd was the last grandchild living in Florida and thus do not know whether the list of states needs updating. (Whether the list of states where his grandchildren live is even worth including is yet another question.) Paleolith (talk) 17:14, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I saw your tagging of the recently added family information. Given the personal nature of the unsourced material, I suspect it was added by a family member. Might be devilishly difficult to find a reliable source for it. Frankly, the inclusion of non-notable family members is usually a bad idea anyway, other than to mention the number of children and grandchildren, and assuming none are notable in their own right.
