Requested moves[edit]

Where's the discussion. (I oppose). -- Beardo 08:55, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Notes on the two above moves. My correction of the double-redirect made the first target have an non-trivial history, and the second target is presently a redirect to a disambugation page, which should still be somewhere. If Franc000 can suggest an appropriate discussion section, I'll set it up and relist. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 22:46, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where to now[edit]

First let's have an informal discussion here of the futures of Tango TV (Luxembourg), T.TV, Tango TV, Tango (television), Tango TV (Lithuania) and any other relevant articles. Then we may (re)list some moves if we can come up with a specific proposal.

Or, if we can get a strong informal consensus to the point that it's a non-controversial move that just needs deletion of trivial edit history, I can just do it without relisting. Andrewa 15:51, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The new name of the Luxembourgish television channel is T.TV. I can't move it to T.TV because there's a redirect. The Lithuanian television channel is now the only station called Tango TV. It should be moved to Tango TV. --Franc000 16:00, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds logical to me. But I wonder why Beardo opposed at least one of the above moves? Andrewa 19:45, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can't speak for Beardo, but if the Luxembourg station used to be Tango TV, then some of the disambiguation pages still need to remain, although not necessarily where they are currently. (I was just complaining in the original WP:RM about the lack of discussion area, not necessarily about the outcome.) — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 07:52, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't mind me. I was worried that TTV may have other uses - if it does, I can't see them. -- Beardo 13:33, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can we add that Tango (television) should be kept, although edited, if these moves are to be done. (I don't think I should close this move request myself, even if I see concensus.) Also, may I suggest that the {{for}} template be modified and retained in the two articles, as it's possible that some people may be looking for the Luxembourgish station at Tango TV. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 18:11, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If anyone wants to relist on WP:RM then we must, but ISTM that we are rapidly developing a consensus that justifies closing without relisting. I'm still happy to act as closing sysop if we get to that on a specific proposal. Andrewa 19:33, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Specific proposal[edit]

I was hoping someone else might do this (maybe you think you already have, and that's fair enough), but here's how I see it:

Tango TV (Luxembourg) -> T.TV

Tango TV (Lithuania) -> Tango TV

This involves the deletion of two target articles, both with nonsignificant histories. The talk pages are not so simple, but manageable: T.TV doesn't have one, Tango TV of course does (this is it) but there's nothing significant to move from talk:Tango TV (Lithuania) so again no problem.

Other cleanups then don't require sysop powers. If nobody objects, I'll do these moves that do. Thanks everyone for your patience so far. Andrewa 12:54, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I see the other cleanups are already in place, thank you! Andrewa 22:43, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Tango TV.png[edit]

Image:Tango TV.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
