Plot[edit]

Is the article going to say anything about the content of The Bargee?

Locations[edit]

I looked at the DVD just recently, Sep 2014. There is some artistic licence about the order in which towns are reached and considering it is 50 years old there is difficulty in pinning down actual filming locations.

The large overhanging canopy at Brentford is still there, or was a few years ago.

The escapade with Miriam Karlin at Rickmansworth appears to be on the towpath at 'Black Jack's Lock' near Harefield. The grey building is no longer a public house and it is difficult to see if filming was indoors there or indoors in a studio.

The swing bridge at Winkwell is certainly still there but automated and not manual as Ronnie Barker found it.
