Improving this article[edit]

I've decided to begin the process of improving and expanding this article by removing the section on You Still Stuck, as it's one of the most blatant examples of original research I've ever seen. This may just about be acceptable in a university thesis, but: 1. I doubt The Meatmen's You Still Suck album is actually a prime example of whatever phenomenon is claimed to have existed at the time of its release. 2. This is psychology and has no place in an article on a band which is supposed to be a factual history of the band. 3. The assertions there are very tenuously related to the ban or, the album. 4. All the citations are about laugh tracks, which are completely and utterly irrelevant. It does not cite anything about the libellous allegations it makes against record companies defrauding their customers! 5. The Meatmen have always been an underground band, so the band has little "placement within the greater context of American consumerist culture". --Gpmuscillo (talk) 17:16, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The section that Gpmuscillo objects to was deleted quite some time ago so I am removing the disputed neutrality header. - Metalello talk 21:04, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

lyrical content section[edit]

Why is that here? It seems like a deliberate attempt to cultivate controversy where none exists. I will delete it unless reasons for keeping are given. - Metalello talk 02:43, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted it. - Metalello talk 20:48, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
