Contesting speedy deletion[edit]

This article should not be deleted. Not only is it unfinished, but Theodore Weesner was a great American author. He was a recipient of the 1973 Guggenheim Fellowship, as you can here His most famous novel, The Car Thief, was a bestseller. Additionally, his obituary was recently published in the New York Times, as can be seen here. He has been published in The Atlantic, Esquire, Harper's, The Boston Globe, and the New Yorker.


Please don't be too quick on the draw with this article. As noted above, Weesner was an esteemed author and absolutely notable. The article needs some time and attention, certainly, but don't dump it before it's had a fair chance to develop. 99.26.130.45 (talk) 02:26, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
