I have removed the following text from the References section of the article as it conflicts with the existing year of birth and is located in the wrong place. The information needs validating and integrating into the article if appropriate. Keith D (talk) 23:58, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Spencer was born on 7 Nov 1851, in Skipton. he married, firstly, Elizabeth Baxter, b in 1852, Skipton, they had 2 daughters and one Son. Elizabeth died after 1881 census, and Thomas re-married Agnes Spencer Whitfield who was baptised 7 Oct 1860 at St Cuthbert's, Marton on 26 Nov 1892 in Leeds. She almost reached the age of 100 years but died on 1st Mar 1959, at her old home in The Grove, Marton and is buried in St Cuthbert's graveyard, Marton. Thomas and Agnes had no children.
