Touch Me I'm Sick[edit]
This song really rules. How can anybody doubt that this is the definitive grunge song of all time? Mudhoney admits that it was their peak. It's famous. They're known for that phrase, "Touch Me I'm Sick". Just listen to it! That song seriously kicks ass! —Preceding unsigned comment added by NIRVANA2764 (talk • contribs)
Comments[edit]
Try to avoid abusing the word "it" and "its" in the lead. Thank you and good luck. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 01:13, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
GA nom on hold[edit]
I haven't reviewed a whole lot of articles thus far, so bare with me.
- You don't need to link "single" in the lead, it looks kinda dumb and is linked in the infobox.
- Done. --Thamusemeantfan (talk) 00:34, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- In the first para of the lead you refer to the song as "it" alot, maby change some to "the song" or "Touch Me I'm Sick" or something along those lines.
- Done. --Thamusemeantfan (talk) 00:36, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- ""Touch Me I'm Sick" features straightforward garage/punk rock song structure." needs a source. If it is the one at the end of the para, you should double it up to make more clear.

- Refs 7, 8, and 10 need publishers.
- Done. --Thamusemeantfan (talk) 00:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- The publisher for ref 1 is italisized but ref 3 isn't, that should be fixed.

- Other than those minor things, this looks pretty good. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 23:36, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

- “Would” is prevalent in the article.
- Wikilink 7” Vinyl
- Done. linked it twice in the article. indopug (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Its fine as long as you do not link the same word in the same section or the succeeding one. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 07:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Also Seattle, Washington
- If the single has no predecessor, put a dash on the black field to indicate such.
- Remove the parenthesis.
- Avoid too much use of “it”.
- Removed as many as I could; many are in quotations though. Done. indopug (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yah. I was talking about "it" outside the quoted material. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 07:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wikilink debut single as one.
- The above reviewer said not link single as it is already in the infobox. indopug (talk) 09:29, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- No need to mention the b-side in the lead.
- Most recognizable song; a bit POVic. And since you prefer citing the lead, add citation on this.
- bassline is bass line
- Claimed
- Redundant song
- Claimed again
- Use dash for garage/punk rock
- Why use a dash here? which one? By "/" I mean that those two song structures are pretty mcuh the same. indopug (talk) 09:29, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, removed the "/"; the way it is in the source. Done. indopug (talk) 10:40, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

- Please let me out in distortion pedal.
- What? indopug (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh. Sorry. What I mean is wikilink "distortion pedal" or any of the two related to the context. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 07:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Claimed again.

- No, Its a band indopug (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

- The band has been
- Link 7” vinyl.
- In 7” Vinyl format.
- Needs direct citation: "Touch Me I'm Sick" was released in 1988 on 7" vinyl. It was Mudhoney's debut release and Sub Pop's first single. Initially, 800 clear coffee-brown vinyl copies, 200 black vinyl copies and a few assorted vinyl color copies were released.
- Link indie.
- Needs direct citation; The single quickly became an independent hit in Seattle, becoming Mudhoney's most recognizable song.
- Put the period inside: "The first [pressing sold] 1,000, then 3,000 of the reissue, then it was out of print for a while; then they made 2,000 more and those are probably gone".
- would explode onto, POVic.
- Needs citation: In the time since the song's release in late 1988, the Seattle grunge scene would explode onto the mainstream. After Nirvana's Nevermind (1991) first achieved crossover success, bands such as Pearl Jam and Soundgarden would also enjoy much commercial success and popularity.
- Although Mudhoney would never achieve this level of fame; who said that? POV.
their early material, especially"Touch Me I'm Sick",
- didn't exist. Reword to did not.
- "Touch Me I'm Sick" remains Mudhoney's most recognizable song, and a staple at their concerts. Source?
- Confessed.
- No need on the table for the accolades. Merge it to the reception section.
- I prefer to be there; as prose it would be a mess of which publication ranked it at what. Should I add it as a sub-section to the legacy section? indopug (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Was released as a 7” vinyl
- Suggested.
- For publication entry in the citation template, enclose it in a parenthesis.

Wrong[edit]
One thing you are got to fix is that Touch Me I'm Sick wasn't the first single released by Sub Pop. The first single was Hunted Down by Soundgarden. --Freedom (song) (talk) 17:44, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Proper formatting[edit]
To @Indopug, I was really considerate on what you reverted. I agree with the removal of the sample of Sonic Youth's cover; that was an experimental edit and I guess I'm not entirely experienced with samples yet. But most of these reversions are not good. You returned an outdated external link, a capitalization error, removed non-breaking spaces (something koavf noted) and added confusion in the Sonic Youth subsection on who covered what.
Another thing I'd like to note is the inconsistency in stating the length of "Touch Me I'm Sick". There's two sources that make a 10-second difference, the time stated in a pressing of the original single, and the one seen on streaming services. I went with the former. - All of the useful changes you made are in the article now. Thank you.—indopug (talk) 14:44, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
