Origin of name?[edit]

The Irish word for "well" is Tobar" not "Tiobraid" as quoted in article. I would speculate that the origin of the name was "Tobar Ide", or "From (Saint) Ide's Well". The original bearer of the surname could have been a person/family from the place near Saint Ide's well. Anybody any thoughts on this? Whatever, I would not be happy with the current explanation as it's too contrived. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ciaranc (talkcontribs) 14:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
