American Defense Service Medal w/Atlantic Device dates[edit]

I notice that the crew of the Goldfinch are listed as eligible for the Atlantic Device for specific dates, namely 1 Aug '41 to 9 Aug '41 and 2 Oct '41 to 7 Dec '41, see here. So what was the Goldfinch doing in the interveining time frame (10 Aug '41 to 1 Oct '41)? Gecko G (talk) 02:28, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
