Re: Balancing[edit]

Looking at similar pages on citizen journalism as well as other media sources, there is a severe lack of information that presents conservative views on the group, leading to an overall skewed POV.

Can you suggest coverage from conservative reliable sources for us to include? Woodroar (talk) 18:17, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
See, that's the problem. Looking for anything with a conservative viewpoint of this group is like trying to find a needle in a haystack because of the glut of left-leaning news articles that use Unicorn Riot as a source or praise Unicorn Riot for their actions. This is why I tagged this article: because I cannot do this alone. I need help from other editors to balance out this article. TheLocalTechPriest (talk) 16:50, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TheLocalTechPriest: Balance on Wikipedia means representing fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic. If there is so little conservative reliable coverage of Unicorn Riot that it's "like trying to find a needle in a haystack", and you can't find any to present here, it may be that such coverage ought not be included. Balance does not mean presenting both left-leaning and conservative viewpoints as though they are similar in weight if that's not the case. GorillaWarfare (talk) 18:21, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly this. If the current article is a summary of the reliable sources that we know of, then as far as we're concerned, it's balanced. I've removed the tags for now. If editors can point to reliable sources that aren't being given their due weight, then we can certainly discuss if and how to include them. Woodroar (talk) 20:44, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
