Is this page really necessary? I think it should be merged with the AMFV page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 153.106.4.95 (talkcontribs) 08:34, 27 January 2007

I have no opinion either way, but I figured commenting here with my signature would at least make it easy to get an idea of how old this simple discussion is (first request and above comment were apparently made in January 2007). :) Ben Hocking (talk|contribs) 15:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm all for merging it. Articles tagged now. Henrymrx (t·c) 16:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No one has gotten around to this. But I'll throw my support behind it. Considering the article is completely unsourced, the best way to preserve this article is to merge it before it's deleted. Shooterwalker (talk) 02:44, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As name for the USA[edit]

The article mentions it being name for the USA before independence. But here is anothr thing which brought me to this page: in Russian, in the first half of the 20th century, the USA were called Североамериканские Соединенные Штаты, literally North American United States. Where does the name come from? Googling brings no results, but I doubt the Russians took it out of nowhere...--Alexmagnus (talk) 17:52, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
