Article title[edit]

A discussion regarding the title of this article is found here. --Mai-Sachme (talk) 13:43, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The vast majority of media will utilize the Italian name first. I understand the usage of the native Ladin name in respect to the indigenous population but then why not apply this to the German communities in South Tryol as well? There is no consistency in the naming convention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:BD9E:FE0:FC32:708E:72A4:BBA7 (talk) 03:18, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia doesn't necessarily care about what "media" will go for, it tries to reflect what reliable sources use. In this specific case, it's not clear, if they prefer the town's German or Italian name (in any case, there is no widely used English name) and at this point our naming conventions advise to adopt the name used by the local majority. This rule applies to the German communities in South Tryol, as well, e.g. Barbian, Villanders, Brixen... --Mai-Sachme (talk) 07:49, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of arms[edit]

A description of the coat of arms, but no picture? Surely that needs to be part of the article. Caeruleancentaur (talk) 14:12, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I very much agree. Since the coat of arms is described, one might as well add an image of it to complement. 9 years went by but I still don't see an image.
