assorted problems[edit]

"The engine is used as the second stage of both the PSLV and the GSLV launch vehicles, with four strap-on boosters." This is very poorly worded; it would be much clearer to say that "The engine is used by the second stage of both the PSLV and the GSLV launch vehicles and in 4 boosters in the first stage of the GSLV". "The engine carries about 40 metric tons of UDMH as fuel and Nitrogen tetroxide..." The stage, not the engine, carries the fuel & oxidzer. The amount depends on the particular stage. It would be better to just say "The engine uses UDMH as fuel and nitrogen tetroxide as oxidizer and had a maximum thrust of 725 kN". The dimensions given appear to be for the second stage of the PSLV/GSLV rather than for the engine itself. 69.72.92.14 (talk) 03:50, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
