Unclear[edit]
Refer to the previous version to see the paragraphs from the article that I removed. They were impossible to understand, and seem to be about transfers of broadcasting rights, and joint advertising sales agreements. This is not approprieate for a Wikipedia article. Who sells the ads, and how they share the income, seems to me to be out of place in this kind of article.Nick Beeson (talk) 21:55, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Needs major update[edit]
On June 14, WLNS shut down its Okemos transmitter and began broadcasting from the WLAJ transmitter. Info at [1] and [2]. So this article needs a major rewrite. Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:25, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
Digital channel table and other issues[edit]
I and another editor, Nate/Mrschimpf, agreed that no Digital channel table or section is needed given that the station is only 1 subchannel: "there's only one channel; a grid here is very much pointless. Agreed with Spshu here; it goes. Sorry. But some MOS adjustments are needed, and a bunch of inaneness about syndication needs a cut too". These tables are not MOS or other wise recommended by WP:TVS, so point to other articles is WP:OTHERSTUFF. Even if it was a guideline, the situation is a good point to invoke Wikipedia:Ignore all rules rule. I also request, the IP editor discussion it on the talk page. - Other issues that have come up are
- Analog-to-digital conversion secitons - these should be in history as they are singular events that need not be singled out, thus are best in history as discussed at TVS: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television Stations/Archive 10#Digital transition is in the past
- News is a form of programming, thus it makes sense to place it under progrmaming.
- There is no requirement for http: in the URL template. I think that is the point of the template other wise, what is the point. Spshu (talk) 21:10, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- I'm gonna have to agree with you for the first time as well, as for the sections, I think this should extend to other television station articles. HurricaneGeek2002 talk 15:08, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
I disagree anyway because of this. CentralTime301 (Talk, Contributions) 18:53, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
