Assessment comment[edit]

The lead of the article should be expanded to conform with MOS:LEAD and needs to be sourced with more than one source. Hekerui (talk) 18:51, 18 October 2011 (UTC) William Dieterle is mentionned as being of jewish origin, and this is supported by two sources, or rather one: The first one is no longer existing and cannot be consulted. The other source is an article, the source of which is questionnable. William Dieterle was a friend and cousin of my german grandfather and the whole family was and is protestant (german: Evangelisch). Dieterle had several artist friends who were jewish, which is the likely explanation to the confusion of the author of the article [2] referred to in the William Dieterle biography. Media articles are sometimes wrong and should not be given more credibility only because they have been published, in this case on a quite obscure news site and with no sources mentionned. Kind regards, Frederick Dieterle 2.8.98.11 (talk) 17:57, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
