This article is written in American English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, defense, traveled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

I think there's a good DYK we can pull from this, perhaps along the lines of how this is considered nearly educational or something like that. I would nominate, but really that should be up to @Saginaw-hitchhiker: who created the article. Prince's use of numbers[edit]

Would a link to either Prince singles discography or to a specific example like I Would Die 4 U or Money Don't Matter 2 Night be appropriate?Naraht (talk) 14:50, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the reference to Love Symbol Album in the copy is appropriate, and should be removed. While the album corresponds to the symbol shown in the video, the songs with numbers in their title on the album are not the first or even better-known instances of Prince using numbers in a title. Both "I Would Die 4 U" and "Nothing Compares 2 U" come to mind way before any of the songs on Love Symbol (including "7"), no? Both those also pre-date that album. Clippit makes a comeback[edit]

Clippit, the animated paperclip Microsoft Office Assistant, makes an appearance in the music video at the lyrics, "Just keep in mind that 'be', 'see', 'are', 'you' are words, not letters. Get it together. Use your spellchecker."

Unless you're se7en[edit]

I would argue that the line "unless you're seven" refers to the 1995 movie "Se7en" and not to a person's age. 170.171.1.5 (talk) 18:50, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's a very novel interpretion and would need to be backed by sources, since the video clearly indicates its meant to be a child's age and not the movie. (and no, the movie "Seven" is only stylized with the number, it is not spelled with it). --MASEM (t) 19:00, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
