I propose to merge the articles World Science Festival and World Science Festival, 2008. The introduction and history sections, and the images, overlap almost completely. There is next to no information about other festivals - only a brief chapter about the 2009 festival, and nothing whatsoever about the 2010 festival and the upcoming 2011 festival. I think this merge would also be useful. Having not been involved in the discussion about the split, and not knowing where to find this discussion, it would be interesting to see why there is consensus for this split. --NickPenguin(contribs) 22:27, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article was split to not delist it as a FA. Former discussion here. Nageh (talk) 22:37, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't it be better to find some information about the 2010 and 2011 festivals rather than shunt the articles back together, which would lead to the loss of the FA status of the 2008 article? BencherliteTalk 23:08, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, adding information for 2009-2011 is more logical than stripping a perfectly fine article on the 2008 edition of its star and violating WP:UNDUE in a combined article with several thousand words on the 2008, and next to nothing on the next three. Courcelles 23:27, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Who will do it then? I don't feel qualified for the task myself, seeing as I didn't attend any of the festivals, in fact, I only heard about them through this Wikipedia article. JIP | Talk 18:25, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
