Deprecated? More secure?[edit]

The article says xinetd "offers a more secure alternative to the older inetd ... which most modern Linux distributions have deprecated" yet the cited source does not appear to support either of these claims. - Jchook (talk) 00:42, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Installed?[edit]

Is this installed by default by the Linux installation routine? Does it require any configuration. Does it use any dependencies and/or is it associated with any other components? What uses it? Maybe those should be pointed out. - KitchM (talk) 20:50, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
