The reference to a book on the Zanj empire co-edited by Roland Oliver is given erroneously to Matthew Gervase, instead of to Gervase Matthew. Gervase Matthew was a renowned Dominican orientalist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.135.158.26 (talk) 09:17, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the man was called Anthony Gervase Mathew (1905–1976; not to be confused with Gervase Frederick Mathew; Anthony was his civil name and Gervase his monastic name), though he was known as Gervase Mathew simply. Compare this for the citation. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 17:57, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As an aside, Mathew was among the friends of J. R. R. Tolkien, see here for more information about Mathew.
Done The names should now all be fixed. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 18:06, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
