Template documentation
This template is intended for use in glossaries in conjunction with {{subdefn}}. This pair of templates work in a similar manner to {{term}} and {{defn}} which they call. That is, they provide formatting for a glossary term and its definition respectively, the main difference being the addition on an indent.
They are intended to be used where a glossary term has one or more specific variants applying to a limited set the main term. For example;
{{glossary}} {{term|2=cat}} {{defn|A domestic animal with claws for destroying furniture}} {{subterm|2=Persian cat}} {{subdefn|A cat for destroying [[Blofeld]]'s furniture}} {{glossary end}}
will render as;
- cat
- A domestic animal with claws for destroying furniture
- Persian cat
- A cat for destroying Blofeld's furniture
Note that the term text is required to be in the second field. See {{term}} documentation for further information on this.
