What is the WMF view of using this license? Is it compatible with GFDL, or is the situation similar to the fair use discussion? \Mike(z) 18:13, 20 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what WMF means, but I don't think the license is technically compatible with the GFDL. On the other hand, neither are the Creative Commons licenses, and they're considered "free". – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 19:12, July 20, 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, WMF = WikiMedia Foundation, i.e. the official guys (including Jimbo). :P \Mike(z) 14:52, 21 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Then why isn't it in the darned drop-down list for image uploads? Or some option of uploading one's own work and specifying a particular license? I find this irksome. Crypticfirefly 23:16, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
