Introduction[edit]

Howdy, I'm a student at Texas A&M University seeking a degree in English. I am using wikipedia as part of a class project to edit pages, so if you have any feedback or advice, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you!

Article Assessment[edit]

Achievement Hunter[edit]

Audience and Purpose[edit]

The article's purpose is for more information on a YouTube channel and the content they create. Most people that come looking for this article most likely are here because they want to know more information about the team, and the content they have made since their beginning. The page does satisfy most of their work, however, the content could be updated slightly to include some recent event dates from their tours. The users that are likely to edit the information are the fans and the people from the gaming community. They would want to make sure that the content matches the progress of the channel.

History of Edits[edit]

  • Page created in October 2012 with information from the group's website. The last edit was created in January 2019 where are user added a link to a host's wikipedia. (Should be noted that not every host has a wikipedia page created for them)
  • Major edits over the years helped include information about the hosts and how long they have been with the group, as well as the former hosts with their years in the company. The crew that works with the main hosts and edits the videos are also included and updated frequently as new editors are hired.
  • The editors have been frequent and added minor changes.

Article in Context[edit]

  • Article is part of the WikiProject Internet and Video games pages.
  • Archive is talking about the main article of Rooster Teeth that the group is a branch of and how the articles should be separate. The main Rooster Teeth page has gotten so large now; it could use a reduction itself.
  • Article still needs links to be verified.

What I Found[edit]

In the article, the information is organized chronologically and has been updated in little bits and details since January 2019. The page could use with some more adding of information like "RT Extra Life" and add a link to that page as well as edit some minor details like grammar and punctuation. Overall, the article does address the purpose of why people have come to the page. It gives the necessary information like when and where the company was started, and who all is involved. It also gives attention to the projects they have working or worked on.

Comedy Film[edit]

Audience and Purpose[edit]

The purpose of this article is to inform the audience that is seeking to learn more about comedy film and its many different types. The page organizes the information by summarizing a very, very brief history of what comedy film is and how it became prevalent in culture today. The audience would come here to learn more about what makes up a comedy film, and to also see what films fit into which subgenre.

History of Edits[edit]

On July 3, 2015, someone took out the entire history section of the comedy film and replaced all the information into different subcategories. The history, which gave a chronological timeline of when each subgenre was introduced and was popular, was erased in order to make the article easier to navigate, however, there are some benefits to having the history section as well as a subgenre section as well.

Article in Context[edit]

This article is a start class, top importance article. The article is part of the WikiProject Film and Comedy. It has been updated many times since its last major edit, the most recent being on February 25, 2019. Despite the edits that are happening, the talk page for this article was last used in late 2012.

What I Found[edit]

I found that although this is a very important and somewhat developed article, the page could use a little more organization, and a possible revamp of the history section. The page has little to boast in each subgenre and also does not have a good summary section as well.

Article Selections[edit]

Supernatural (U.S. TV series)[edit]

This wiki page is very lengthy and disorganized. It has a low B-class rating from WikiProject Television. I think what can be done with this article is rearrange the information about production, and make the cast and characters more like a list and not a paragraph.

Achievement Hunter[edit]

The page is listed as S-class. The citations need to be verified, and the whole article needs to be cleaned up to meet with Wikipedia's standards.

The Grand Budapest Hotel[edit]

Some of the sentences in the article can be edited for more clarity. The article is C class and high importance. It has room for improvement, but not a lot is needed to fix it.

Comedy film[edit]

This article has a lot of room for improvement. The subsections can be organized better, especially the heading titled "subgenre." Most of the work needs to be done with citations as well.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (soundtrack)[edit]

This article is Start class with a low importance rating. I understand why because there is not a lot of information on this topic. The page has a summary of what the soundtrack is for, who wrote it, and what awards were won, but it goes on to try and detail at what part of the movie each piece is heard. So far only four tracks are described. Not a very good article.

Articles That Need Improvement[edit]

Church (Building)[edit]

  • Add citations to support the religious texts and the etymology sections
  • Organize the Architecture section -- most of the architecture sections were put into the History heading. Needs to be adjusted.
  • More information is needed for the the various types of churches, and some have more information than others.

Bill Skarsgård[edit]

  • Not a lot of information on his career -- more information needs to be added with citations
  • Make sure citations do not lead to dead websites or are working properly
  • Biography of a living person; make sure info is up to date, and remove any incorrect information too
