Reply to above comments The key issue is not the use of the image which both the GNU license and the subject of the image (Stan) have no problem with. The problem has been with the caption. Both the original caption: "yours, truly" and the new caption: "Look you, representing my picture as a picture of yourself is fraudulent, and no way am I going to tolerate it. So I suggest you volunteer to remove it yourself before you get in any more trouble." - Stan Shebs (pictured), 2007"

You have also mis quoted Stan as saying "but requested that I clarify that the image is of him by using a quote from the message he sent me." when what he actually said was:

"Caption it with my name and/or a note about how you just like the image, and I have no problem with your use of the image." and
"That's a really poor choice for caption, but whatever, not worth the time."

Why not a simple caption like that of the image summary "Self-portrait of User:Stan Shebs, taken April 2007 above Berkeley." that clearly identifies what the picture is, rather than making it seem first like it was a picture of yourself or later using a caption that you yourself have refered to as being unacceptable. see: User talk:Stan_Shebs#Re: My picture If it is unacceptable to you as being posted on you talk page, how is it acceptable to you for you to use it as a caption? How to respond to Template:Di-replaceable fair use disputed[edit]

Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive442#How to respond to Template:Di-replaceable fair use disputed Admins do not need to respond to Template:hangon or Template:Di-replaceable fair use disputed, they only need to review the reason stated and act accordingly. - A very poor policy from my point of view.
