Amy McGrath was the first female marine to fly an F-18 on a combat mission.[1] She served for 20 years in Marine Corps during which she flew 89 combat missions against the al Qaeda and the Taliban.[2] On August 2, 2017 she announced that she was running for the United States Senate from Kentucky.[3]
