I will be editing and adding biographical content for important figures of American Herbartianism, which is an educational pedagogy that was based upon the work and thoughts of Johann Friedrich Herbart. I will be including how each individual contributed to the rise of American Herbartianism and the link between American Herbartianism and Illinois State University, previously known as Illinois State Normal University.
