Thank you for checking out my User Page.
As a native New Yorker and video-documentarian I am privy to specific, obscure information regarding New York City that only true observers of NYC culture are inclined to know.
In college I was told not to use Wikipedia as a source for my writing because it was edited by users who may or may not be relied upon for factual content. This theory is scholastically sound, however I find the range of user input to be one of the more alluring aspects of Wikipedia.
Sure, it’s great for someone several thousand miles away to read an article online pertaining to a subject and add content to a Wikipedia page. It’s also amazing to read from the perspective of someone who might live in the neighborhood, know or interact with the subject firsthand, or had witnessed the event in person and is capable of recanting the details in a clear and concise manner.
I’ve been a voracious reader of Wikipedia for years, now I’m finally a user!
