General Reza Dastvareh was born in a very religious and poor family.Alongside the Islamic revolution he actively participated in protests.

After the establishment of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (sepah) he joined to this military unit. Dastvareh was appointed as the deputy commander of Muhammad Rasoul-Allah division.

In july 4,1986,Dastvareh was killed in operation Karbala 1 which led to the liberation of Mehran, Ilam.


Early Life[edit]

Reza Dastvareh was born in south of Tehran in a very religious and poor family in 1959.although he was a little child,he tended to religious issues and advised other to obey islam.he used to reand Quran alot.as a student he was very smart and bright.
Alongside the Islamic revolution he actively participated in protests and he was arrested several times by SAVAK.when he was studing in high school he encouraged his classmates to participat in demonstrations.in 1978 he was identified and arrested by SAVAK in Tehran university and was taken into prison.But he was released after a while.[1] [2]

After Islamic Revolution[edit]

Dastvareh was a member of security team in welcoming ceremony of Imam Khomeini.After the establishment of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (sepah) he joined to this military unit and was dispatched to the Kurdistan.Dastvareh in the company of Ahmad Motevaselian could regain Marivan and the city was under the control.in Marivan,Dastvareh was missioned to provide essential goods for people.
when Ahmad Motevaselian was missioned to form Muhammad Rasoul-Allah division,Dastvareh was appointed to find capable military forces.he accepted this responsibility,provided that he can participate in missions.

After liberation of Khorramshahr,Dastvareh and his companions in Muhammad rasol-o-lah division,were dispatched to assist the people of Lebanon who were invaded by Israel.

When Dastvareh came back from Lebanon he was appointed as the commander of Sevvome Abozar brigade.in Operation Kheibar,when Mohammad Ebrahim Hemmat,the commander of Muhammad Rasoul-Allah division,was killed by Iraqi troops,Abbas karimi was appointed as the commander of devision and Dastvareh as his deputy.[1][2]

Moral characteristics[edit]

Dastvareh was very friendly and just trusted in God.he was really brave and able to Analyze war Issues very carefully and had rapid decision-making power.although he was thin,but tireless.he was present in all battles except when he was injured.

In operations always he was in frontline and directed the troops closely.he was injured eleven times in Iran-Iraq war but he did not leave the battle.[1][2]

I could not serve Islam as much as i wanted.i advise you to obey Ruhollah Khomeini and to serve Islamic Republic of Iran.[2][3]

In 1986,his brother,Hussein,is killed in Iran-Iraq war.Dastvareh came back to Tehran to attend his funeral.but because of specific situation of war,he returned to war zones quickly.his companion wanted him to stay more with his family but he did not accept and said:(( I asked my family to provide me a grave next to my brother grave...)).[4]

Ten days later,in july 4,1986,Dastvareh was killed in operation Karbala 1 which led to the liberation of Mehran, Ilam.[1][2]
