February 2024[edit]

Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that in this edit to Lend-Lease, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 00:23, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to 3M22 Zircon. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Materialscientist (talk) 03:20, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at RS-28 Sarmat, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Dinoz1 (chat?) Hi! I noticed you made a constructive revert on Formula One car displaying reasoning and links to Wikipedia policies. After seeing the previous warnings on your talk page, I just wanted to congratulate you for becoming a constructive editor - it's great to have you join us. Again, I'd strongly encourage you to create an account if you'd like to continue editing. MolecularPilot (talk) 10:53, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Conflicts[edit]

I think a couple of your edits to S-500 were lost in an edit conflict w/ mine a few minutes ago. You might want to go back and re-insert them if they're still valid. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 16:52, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually no need to go back, I was able to re-insert them myself. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 17:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm AKidFromBethany. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Mako (missile) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. akidfrombethany!(talk|contribs) 17:37, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please review WP:SYNTH -- you cannot combine information from two separate sources to make a claim that is itself not made by either one. It may be the case that one source says "two batteries entered service on X date" and another says "one battery entered service on Y date"; but it is considered synthesis and original research to combine these two into a conclusion that says "three batteries entered service" without a source making that claim. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 01:43, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please also note that a source can be either reliable or unreliable for a given fact independently of any individual claim represented in the article; we assess reliability based on a source's methodology, history, credibility, and other facts that are inherent to the source itself, not to the specific claim that an article is making about that fact. Some sources are by consensus or practice considered generally unreliable except in specific cases, such as TASS. In general, many (not all) other Russian state media sources (such as Izvestia) share the same underlying reasons for unreliability as TASS -- a lack of true independent editorial control, a history of making false or misleading claims, and examples of direct government interference to prevent stories critical of the Russian government. They may be reliable in specific narrow contexts (such as TASS's caveat that it's a reliable source for direct *quotes* of Russian government officials, but not generalized claims or their underlying assertions of fact, and certainly not without attribution as to their unreliability.) In those cases, even when an unreliable source is making a verifiably correct and obvious claim, it is still an unreliable source, and maintenance tags denoting such should not be removed. Thank you for your consideration. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 01:47, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to 9M730 Burevestnik. Adakiko (talk) 11:51, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at S-500 missile system. For literally weeks now you've been receiving warnings about the need to abide by various polices including WP:V, WP:RS and WP:NPOV and you are still continuing to make edits that push pro-Russian POVs, making unreferenced and unverified changes to data, and not adhering to the reliable sourcing policy. I've been cleaning this up for weeks now, and it's getting tiresome, so let's be very clear: the next time you do this, you're going to be blocked from further editing. I strongly, strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to read up on our sourcing and neutrality policy before continuing further. There will not be further warnings.
