Welcome!

Hello, AirCraft, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Gripen vs Rafale vs Typhoon, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. The article Gripen vs Rafale vs Typhoon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is only for neutral, sourced, factual articles- this appears to be something based on original research and drawing personal conclusions, and thus is not an encyclopedia article- it belongs on a different web site than Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Gripen vs Rafale vs Typhoon ‎[edit]

Hi AirCraft, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope that the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gripen vs Rafale vs Typhoon isn't too discouraging. Articles comparing various things are generally discouraged unless there's strong evidence that the comparison itself is notable and significant. If the article gets deleted (as seems likely), I'd be happy to move a copy of it to your use pages (eg, at something like User:AirCraft/European fighter comparison) so that you can work on it further or re-use the material elsewhere. Anyway, if you're interested in writing on this topic, there are lots of articles on modern fighters which need major improvements. You might also be interested in becoming a member of WikiProject Aircraft and/or WikiProject Military history. Regards, Nick-D (talk) 23:21, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks ! I'll create User:AirCraft/European fighter comparison.AirCraft (talk) 23:49, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello AirCraft. I saw the AFD for this article too and while it looks fairly likely that it will be deleted I too would like to encourage you to hang around and help us improve Wikipedia. Such discussions can be very disheartening for both new and established editors alike; however, you seem to have a good understanding of these topics so I hope we haven't discouraged you too much and that you might consider assisting in other areas. I'm not an aircraft expert but I've been around WP:MILHIST (which works closely with the Aviation Project) for a little while so if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will see if I can assist in some way (or at least point you in the direction of someone who might be able to). Good luck and thank you for taking the time to help. Anotherclown (talk) 01:07, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aircraft plural[edit]

The plural of Aircraft is Aircraft no s. If you want a candidate for an article check out List of aircraft and pick any red-link, or go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft/Missing articles and choose one. Petebutt (talk) 22:22, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Dassault Rafale, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spectra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
