Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

Thank you for the welcome Daveout! I wonder if you can help me investigate why my addition to the Gleen Greenwald - Political views page was removed. :-)
Best regards,

I've re-added the section ====Support for Libs of TikTok====. I would argue that this section is relevant for the article about Gleen Greenwald and would sincerely appreciate critically discussing this with other Wikipedia editors if possible. I hope my addition is not taken as vandalism!
Best regards,

Hello, Crister. The first editor who removed that section mentioned this essay. In short, that essay suggests that we should not put too much emphasis on side issues. I'm not sure whether this Libs of TikTok story is relevant enough to be included in the article. And the section you added begins with a twit, which is a primary source and should be used with caution. If you follow Greenwald on Twitter you probably know that he often twits ironies (which I think is the case here). The section also seems one-sided: we don't get to know what Greenwald really thinks about the issue. Have you seen his explanation on YouTube?
Those are the immediate problems I saw, thats why I removed that section for now. I suggest you start a talk page discussion where other editors there can help decide whether to include that section and how to improve it.
Regardless of all that, I really liked your willingness to contribute in such a manner. That's why I wanted to welcome you personally. I think you got a lot to offer here and I hope you'll continue contributing with us. Cheers! - Daveout(talk) 12:46, 24 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
