February 2024[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Rendille people, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 09:38, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Materialscientist yes i have but i am new in wiki so this is my source Le sang et le lait: brève histoire des clans somali, Christian Bader, Maisonneuve & Larose, 1999 Cali Farah (talk) 10:13, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Materialscientist Can you please revert the edits you made? Cali Farah (talk) 10:15, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Rendille people, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Samaale, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 14:44, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

March 2024[edit]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Samaale, you may be blocked from editing. Also please do not edit war but discuss on Talk:Samaale in order to get wp:consensus for your changes. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 15:35, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Demographics of Somalia. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:43, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Somali people, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:19, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing and adding information at will[edit]

Edits like [1][2][3] are unacceptable.

When you remove information from a Wikipedia article, you must give a valid policy-compliant reason in your edit summary. When you change information, you must also change the source to ensure that the source given verifies the information given. When you add information, you must cite a new reliable source. When other editors revert your edits, you must discuss in order to gain consensus on the article talk page.

If you fail to do these things, you will be blocked from editing. Please carefully read the policy pages linked to in the preceding paragraph. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask here or at my talk page. There are also editors willing to help you in the teahouse.

Thanks for taking this into consideration, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 21:25, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for edit warring.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:18, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
