HELLO- I recently changed my username,how long before it will be activated and how can I know if has been changed?Thnx~

Username changes are performed manually by a Bureaucrat, so that may take some time. However, there were some problems noted by a bot at the request page that need to be resolved before your account is renamed. It may be easiest to choose a more specific new username (and to check beforehand whether the new name is still available).

You will be notified of a name change here on your talk page, or more precisely, your talk page will be moved to match the new user name. Of course you can also keep an eye on the request page to check whether any additional issues arise. Huon (talk) 22:29, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You need to start a new request - the old one has been closed. Wikidude1 has also gone - use Special:CentralAuth to find an unused name - note that names that are very similar may also be declined. Ronhjones ^(Talk) 21:08, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The only person who can answer that is the bureaucrat who will assess your request. I expect that he or she will let you know when that has happened.
