Questioning revision
I'd like to understand the reasoning of why my edit (see: here) was revised to just a simple line stating the money and the winner, and nothing more involving how it got that high. I'm just curious as to why this was revised. --Snojoe 06:05, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your concern! I revised it/reverted it because it was really heavily detailed, and for that section of the article, a lot of the info was superfluous and unfortunately unnecessary. I definitely appreciate your effort, but only a one-sentence mention is necessary. (The page used to be ungodly detailed with lots of information like the one you contributed, but it got way too long, so we had to trim it down.) Don't let this stop you from contributing, though. Replaceable fair use imagery
Per Foundation:Resolution:Licensing policy item #3, the use of copyrighted, fair use imagery to depict living people is not permitted. I've twice now removed Image:JThisted.jpg from Jeff Thisted. Please do not re-add this image again to the article as it constitutes a violation of Foundation policy. As result of the image's removal, it is now orphaned and tagged as such. It will be deleted in seven days unless it is used within an article. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 02:09, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

We got your email at OTRS, but that is not sufficient permission for us to host the image. So I have deleted it. Pretty much, Mr. Thisted has to email us so we know we actually got permission from him and we also need to know what license he wants. The email didn't indicate what license was to be used. J! Archive
Hey, just noticed that you were also a contestant on Jeopardy, and I have only just seen the Archive for the first time. Anyway, I noticed my games aren't up there- how do I go about adding them? ChrisStansfieldContribs 00:13, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Only editors and archivists at the Archive are allowed to edit games. A likely case is that it aired before 2004 and no one has that game on tape or it hasn't aired recently on GSN in reruns. However, if you would like your game(s) up there, this could happen to ways - If you have it on tape/DVD, you could 1) upload them as a video file on your computer and email it to me, or, 2) a route a bit more costly, mail them on VHS or DVD to me or another archivist and we will add it then.
Since the archive is updated manually, one of those is going to have to be the route. However, if your episode falls into one of the categories I listed at the beginning, let me know and I'll see if someone has it and it just has yet to be updated. EDIT: I actually noticed that your game is available at Ronnie O'Rourke's JEOPARCHIVE!. Though it isn't as nicely organized as the J! Archive, it is there. Since the format of the Jeoparachive is different than the J! Archive, some information that we put into our database would still be missing even if we copied from the Jeoparchive. Hey, it's not a big deal to me either way- I knew about Ronnie's archive, and copied it a while ago locally to my own computer. Since she can't legally hold a copyright on that material, I didn't think it would be much of a problem to port the info over to the other site, but if it is, no worries. I don't keep copies of the videos here in New York (my mother has them somewhere- I don't often have a reason to look at them, to be honest.) Next time I visit LA, though, maybe I'll upload them. Like I said, it's hardly a big deal- just thought your site was a little more user friendly than Ronnie's, and that I'd send people to that one instead of hers next time they want details . ;) ChrisStansfieldContribs 06:08, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.
This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

Welcome to the second issue of the WP:PW newsletter. We apologize for the delay. There was an issue regarding the delivery process.
Anyways, we had a lot of good feedback for the last newsletter. We not only received feedback at the newsletter's talk page, but I also received some messages on my talk page as well. Thank you to those who responded. The only complaint we received was about typos, and we will try our best to keep the newsletter error-free.

Several wrestling news sites report that former Total Nonstop Action Wrestling stars Ron Killings and Chris Harris have been in talks with WWE. In addition The Big Show is said to be returning as well. Be on the look out for unsourced claims of these signing being added to their respective articles as well as the WWE Roster article.

Ron Killings is still being reported as having signed a WWE contract. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for his name to be continually added to the WWE Roster article, and information about his return being added to his article. There is also, apparently, an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick. Recent SmackDown! taping spoilers indicate that Killings has already debuted under the name Kwik Killings in a Dark match. However, no reliable source for this information has been found yet.

Jeff Hardy was suspended by WWE for 60 days on March 11 for violating WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy. On March 14, he lost his home in, Cameron, North Carolina, late friday night due to a fire. Fire Department officials currently cannot confirm what was the cause of the fire. Reports also say that Jeff's brother, Matt Hardy, saw smoke coming out of Jeff's house. RAWCommentator, Jim Ross, reports on his blog, "He lost essentially every thing he had and most sadly his dog".

At WrestleMania XXIV, Shawn Michaels defeated Ric Flair after executing the Sweet Chin Music, which as a result, meant that Ric Flair was forced to retire from professional wrestling. The next night, at Flair's retirement ceremony on Raw, Triple H congratulated Flair for his 35 year career, and brought out retired and current superstars to thank him. Michaels, and the whole WWE roster came out later to thank him as well.
The Undertaker defeated Edge to become the new World Heavyweight Champion forcing him to submit to the Gogoplata. During the pyro celebration for Undertaker's 16-0 streak, a freak accident occurred just before WrestleMania went off-air. During the pryo shooting to the entrance stage, a firework went to the upper-level section of the crowd on top. Forty-five fans were injured, and currently, WWE is trying to investigate what was the cause of the pyrotechnic malfunction

TNA has posted a notice on their official website detailing a release of wrestler Kaz. This has been reported to be kayfabe by numerous other sites, but be prepared to revert edits to Kaz's article regarding this as well as List of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling alumni
The guidelines for writing pay-per-view articles has been updated, see here. The new guidelines should be followed in order for an article to be nominated for Good article or Featured article status.

It was announced on the August 25 television episode of Raw that John Cena had suffered a herniated disc in his neck. Cena received successful surgery the following day, and will be inactive for 2-4 months.

GSN Radio's Format and rules section
All I did was add one sentence regarding underage listeners, a method of which contestants are called back and reworded some of the sentences. This is the exact paragraph:
GSN Radio is an internet radio game show in which home listeners are the contestants. Only listeners aged 21 or older can legally enter the contest. Underage listeners cannot enter, even by borrowing a qualified person's identity as this is considered impersonation and is a punishable crime. Qualified listeners can enter anywhere in the world by using the network's website or dialing a phone number, both methods which are free of charge. If an entry is selected to participate in the game, the contestant is called on his or her telephone or cellular phone. The contestant then, either alone or with an opponent, plays live on-air. A contestant may enter 25 times per method during each 24-hour period. Two weeks after each entry was submitted, that entry is cleared from the queue, and any entrants who wish to play more games are required to re-enter.
What is the problem with the paragraph as I have edited it and why have I been accused of an edit war when I was just adding information?
Apparently, the rules were changed slightly since I last spoke with GSN about how long entries are kept until they are cleared so I understand why you changed "Two weeks after each entry was submitted, that entry is cleared from the queue"... back to one week. However, everything else I added, such as "underage listeners cannot enter, even by borrowing a qualified person's identity as this is considered impersonation and is a punishable crime" and "If an entry is selected to participate in the game, the contestant is called on his or her telephone or cellular phone" does add to the article. I suppose I could get rid of "and is a punishable crime", since "only listeners aged 21 or older can legally enter the contest" covers that. What do you think?
Actually, I feel that "underage listeners cannot enter, even by borrowing a qualified person's identity as this is considered impersonation" is important to add. Impersonation is a very serious crime and actually has a possibility to occur on a weekly basis. This has even happened on the other show you mentioned (PlayMania) from time to time.

As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 5%. As of , we are at 7.30%, with 358 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve is included on the stub article subpage.
