Question for administrator[edit]

{{adminhelp}} Admin, how would I check if I am an autoconfirmed user? Would my status under "Users" be changed, or would it remain the same? I have been reading through wikipedia, and specifically, the section about moving articles. Yet, when I look at articles (non-protected), I do not see a "move" button near the "edit this page" button. I was wondering if it was due to the fact I was NOT autoconfirmed (I doubt it?), and I think only an administrator can check the status of my account.

Thanks!

You haven't been here four days yet, although it's getting very close. 15:30 on January 1 should do it, and that's just a few minutes away. If you still do not see a move button even then, it probably means that the article really is protected (it won't always show the lock symbol at the top). Four days is just around the corner so let me know if it doesn't happen like I'm predicting. (By the way your own talk page is definitely unprotected so you can check if you see a move button up there. It should appear even for a non-autoconfirmed user.) -- Soap Talk/Contributions 15:28, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification Soap. The "move" button has appeared. It was my mistake - I took the time for my creation to be local time and not server time (the account was created by another administrator, as I am using a shared ISP).
