Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sesamevoila (talk) 18:53, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Your article was deleted as a test edit--that is what it looked like. You can ask the admin who deleted it, at User talk:The Blade of the Northern Lights. In the meantime, I have deleted Talk:Peasant's revolution, since there was no article page to hang a talk page on. In general, new articles need to have a well-defined subject and some references to prove the statements; your article had neither. The template above has some useful links. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 04:09, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

October 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Protests by farmers in Thailand, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Deletion discussion about The revolution of farmers[edit]

Hello, ChristopherWB,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether The revolution of farmers should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The revolution of farmers .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Gaijin42 (talk) 15:54, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi friend[edit]

I would like to apologize to you on behalf of Wikipedia for what I believe to be an abusive move to delete your piece on the 1970s Northern Thailand farmers' movement just two minutes after you created it. We have a slogan "Don't Bite the Newcomers" and it seems to me that you have been bitten... Please do keep working on it, we need expertise such as yours. You will, at some point in the process, need to show that the 1970s Thai peasants' movement has received published coverage either in scholarly work or in the mainstream press. Please do not worry about losing your work, even if the deletion debate ends in "delete" one can have the unfinished work moved into personal space for additional detail and sourcing to be added. Thank you again for your work on behalf of Wikipedia and again I'm sorry for the inconvenience of a deletion debate. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, either by email at MutantPop@aol.com or just click the (talk) link that follows my signature and leave a message for me on my talk page there. Please be aware that you have the right to participate in the deletion debate by clicking the link at the top of the article and I definitely encourage you to do so. —Tim Davenport, Corvallis, OR, USA //// Carrite (talk) 17:08, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Protests by farmers in Thailand[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Protests by farmers in Thailand. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – The revolution of farmers. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at The revolution of farmers – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Gaijin42 (talk) 18:04, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry again[edit]

I apologize again for the impersonal templates above. Basically there was a little bit of an issue with the way you tried to make the same content be searchable with three different terms. We at Wikipedia call these "redirects" and the way to do this is to write the article once under its best title — let's say, for example, 1970s Thailand peasant revolts, and then to create additional pages using the "Redirect Tool" in the tool box on the editing page. It's one of the things that looks like a backwards arrow, the one on the right hand side. You just start the page for title 2 — let's say, for example, Thailand peasant revolts of the 1970s and then click the "Redirect Tool" and then paste in the main name of the piece, "1970s Thailand peasant revolts," in the appropriate space that the tool generates. I've taken the liberty of changing your alternate titles into proper redirects, please ignore the speedy deletion templates that Gaijin42 posted above. Please do, however, weigh in with your views at the deletion debate at Articles for Deletion and don't hesitate to contact me with any comments or questions you may have. Disambiguation link notification for November 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1970s peasant revolts in Thailand, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Junta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
