Crystallizedcarbon, can you explain please

If you will look at page accurately you will see no difference from other law firm pages. The main goal was to inform! in 2013 there was a spin off of Noerr Kyiv office, the main message is - re-branding. Check by yourself Noerr or other pages. Could you tell me which part you consider as advertising/promotion before just deleting it. By deleting unreasonably article of Wikipedia first-timer you do not do a good job. I would appreciate if you show me evidence or restore my article! There are dozens of similar pages and i use links to Noerr page and to The Lawyer publication about re-branding. Plus where i can find original article — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nobleskyiv (talkcontribs) 16:49, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Spain

The article now is much better than before. Please, if you don´t agree with specific changes, tell me which ones don´t you agree and we can achieve an agreement, but don´t just undo everything. --BernardaAlba (talk) 15:21, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments. The church you mentioned is part of a World Heritage Site, the catalan romanesque churches in Boí Valley https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_Romanesque_Churches_of_the_Vall_de_Bo%C3%AD --BernardaAlba (talk) 15:38, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
It´s allright, if you think it drives to confussion i will add the valley in the caption as you suggest. --BernardaAlba (talk) 15:47, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
In Reconquista i think it is better as i changed, showing the main focus of the Reconquista impulse. I changed the Aragon reconquista photo because i think people may confuse those 2 kings with the catholic monarchs, and i pur a photo of the monastery of the pyrinees where the political idea of the county developed, and also where the King conqueror of Zaragoza was educated. El Cid is ok, but i think for the Castile-Leon kingdom is more representative the capital, where the kings are burried, and where the modern parlamentarism took place. It was at the time the political capital of the Reconquista impulse that started in Asturias, León should be there. I changed a photo of Columbus for another one of Columbus but more complete, because they appear also the catholic monarchs (it is impossible not to have a caption of them for their relevance) and they all appear in Alhambra, showing the end of the Reconquista, the union of their crowns and the start of the empire with columbus there. I put a photo of the congress because we are a parlamientary democracy, and the legislative power will be always there no matter the president. In the World Heritage photos, i thought (as you told me) that it was clever to put captions in order of the main artistic representation along time. --BernardaAlba (talk) 16:17, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Ok, I understand for changes to be done consensus must be reached. Thank you. --BernardaAlba (talk) 16:32, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
What do you think about this option?: Segovia (roman)- Asturias (pre-romanesque)- Vall de Boí (romanesque)- Burgos (gothic)- Guadalupe (mudejar)- El Escorial (renaissance)? So put Segovian acuedcut at first as roman arquitecture and mantain the romanesque Vall de Boí. To continue with the order. --BernardaAlba (talk) 16:56, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
About the oocitan language i am not sure. I don´t know the legal status that it has. I thought it was co-official, but i am not sure. --BernardaAlba (talk) 20:54, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Spain map - thanks

Thank you for improving the map (i am bad with maps myself). This should have been done with all UNOCHA-maps before uploading, but that train has left the station a while ago. GermanJoe (talk) 07:54, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello @GermanJoe:, I am very glad I could be of help.

The chef

I would but from what I saw before if most of the sources are in a language other than English. I can use translation software but reliability is limited.Serialjoepsycho (talk) 07:38, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Under wp:SPS there are some things that can be cited to a self published website. Pretty much though that won't be any fluff. I would review the material were sourced and not remove that source where it doesn't seem to be holding up promotional information. Hmm, isn't there a noticeboard where we could seek help with a translation help?Serialjoepsycho (talk) 19:54, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
The only thing I can think of is Wikipedia:WikiProject_Resource_Exchange/Resource_Request. The resource in question being a translation but I'm not certain if that's the proper place. Honestly you make a number of good points. I bring this discussion back to BLPN. You could possibly get a little more perspective and perhaps someone that can do Russian.

La paz

So if La Paz is not important enough why did these Japanese or JICAs built a bridge for that village only??? There is a bridge in that village and i have been on that bridge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bryanpiczon (talkcontribs) 20:06, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

Al Tamimi & Company Page

Hi, thank you for your message regarding the Al Tamimi & Company page. I have removed the deletion tag and have edited the content slightly. I am very new to Wikipedia and trying my best to learn and understand all the rules etc. so please do bear with me. I have added a sentence to my User page to state that I am an employee of Al Tamimi & Company to comply with the Conflicts of interest policy. Any additional guidance you could provide would be much appreciated. Many thanks Sarahc1981 (talk) 10:24, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Speedy nomination of Vadim Borisovich Gnedash

Actually, the article you nominated for Speedy is the original, and the article you say it is a duplicate of is a copy of Vadim Borisovich Gnedash, but with a picture added. Perhaps the correct course of action is to redirect Vadim Gnedash to Vadim Borisovich Gnedash, and add the picture to the original article? 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 20:17, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Deletion of Mithun Agency

Can you tell me why Mithun Agency has been deleted? You mentioned it being duplicate of another page. If a company changes names, do they typically start a new page or edit the current Wiki page? I started a new page so the existing entry could be cited.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Andreux2014 (talkcontribs) 20:46, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Newel Eliot Kimball

Now at WP:Articles for deletion/Newel Elliot Kimball. He's a professor, and that passes A7 as a claim to significance. I've gone straight to AfD as prod would have been declined, and I can't see real notability. The ancestry schtick won't work - that only stands a chance for closely related nobility and royalty and top world leaders. (Me, I'm notable. I'm descended from the first two people in the Bible. Or so they say...) Peridon (talk) 13:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

@Peridon: I agree with you, to me your proposal for deletion is clear.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 16:12, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

Why have you removed the changes to St Francis Prep?

Can you explain why the recent events at SFP are not notable? I think they are notable and should be included. I would like to add more recent events in addition to these. What is your definition of notable? They are certainly notable to the people that participated in them.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Endcyberbullying (talkcontribs) 21:48, 18 November 2014

Digital Toffee Marked For Speedy Deletion

Thanks you for informing me of the speedy deletion tag on this page. I wasn't sure how it worked to be honest and that I had breached any terms of service. I will now make sure I go through and flag all other digital marketing agencies listed as promotional for speedy deletion.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Digital Toffee (talkcontribs) 16:14, 20 November 2014

Speedy deletion for Sergio Trujillo

Hi, I would like to translate the Wikipedia page existing in Spanish, so the article is the same but in English. I am far from a Wikipedia expert, if you have a way in which a page can be automatically translated (and then I can correct errors by hand) it will be greatly appreciated. I edited the page in Spanish, but the tags are in Spanish as well, which makes automatic translation impossible...

Thanks. Jfarjona (talk) 17:58, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

How Beer Saved the World

I've speedied the article since it's a new version of a pre-existing article, although I will say that I don't see where the original article passes notability guidelines either- and I'm not finding anything to show otherwise. If you still can't find anything then I'd suggest just redirecting it to List of programs broadcast by Discovery Channel. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:22, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring at Jian Ghomeshi

Please follow BRD very closely. Your second deletion was the start of an edit war. Now stick to discussion. -- Brangifer (talk) 16:20, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello BullRangifer, I understand your concern, don´t worry, I have no intention to get involved in any edit warring. All I did was one edit in response to this request and one revert both of them based in Wikipedia policy and both explained in the summary and in the talk page 1 2. A single revert with discussion in the talk page falls within the recommendations of WP:EW to avoid edit warring (defined as "a series of back and forth reverts". I do welcome the dialog in the talk page, and will of course respect the consensus, I am also open to learning something in the process.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 19:26, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion Criniti's

Hi there! i would like to understand what the reasons for deleting the article are. I followed the wikipedia guidelines, or at least I thought I did so. It would be great if I could have some more details regarding this so I know how to proceed further. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Simone.breccia8 (talkcontribs) 23:28, 7 December 2014

Hello Crystallizedcarbon, I am writing to see if the page of Marco Magnani as modified now is okay. A cordial greeting Cezar23 IT (talk) 15:15, 09 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for the information. I'm looking to help include information for pages that are needed and that need to be there and reference them properly. Uploading Photo's

Hi Crystallizedcarbon, when uploading a photo with the wizard, how or where do I the copyright content that it's mine? When uploading some of my work (picture), it get's put into deletion because it's not provided. How or where can I provide that information when I'm uploading a picture so it doesn't go into deletion? I would like to make sure everything is accurate. Thank you very much Georgivac (talk) 20:54, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

@Georgivac: Hello, you can click here to access the Commons upload wizard, it will guide you step by step through the process, when you get to the license section, you can select the "this file is my work" option. When you finish the process, you will get a link that you can copy and paste to use in the articles of all Wikipedia projects (different languages). It is a very straightforward process, but if you encounter difficulties, let me know.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 06:55, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
@Crystallizedcarbon: Hello and thanks for your feedback and help with everything. I did use the commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard, I've done everything that you have mentioned and did select the "this file is my work" option. The problems that I'm having with the photo's uploaded are that much of the same person is requesting deletion for the photos uploaded. How else do avoid this after choosing this is my work? Some have have given me permission and I've sent the from them to "permissions-commons@wikimedia.org". I've also taken taken some photo's with my own camera. Gabriella_Ricca_World_Championship_Win.jpg was one of them and it states near the file "This media file is missing evidence of permission." I've followed everything that was mentioned to do. How can I upload a photo and follow your suggestion as I have done and not encounter this problem? Thank you for your help again. So much appreciated. Georgivac (talk) 19:10, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
@Georgivac: Hello, regarding Gabriella_Ricca_World_Championship_Win.jpg I think you have followed the right steps, Since you claimed ownership and selected a license when you uploaded it, I don't think it should have been tagged, since you contacted commons:OTRS and the user that tagged it, I think they will remove the tag once they review it. It should not be necessary, but you may want to look into Flikr to upload your pictures own pictures or look for images with share rights. you can create an account and set your license for your own works (be sure to allow commercial use in the license). Good luck.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 06:14, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
@Crystallizedcarbon: Hello and thank you again. The same person has done it to a few of my uploaded photo's as I have permission for some uploaded that weren't mine. I did talk with him but he had sent me the commons:OTRS link to send the rights for it to them. I was going no where with that person. I did mention that I've uploaded a photo that was recently deleted which I got permission for and that person said he put the newly uploaded photo on the request for deletion. I did follow the same as I've mentioned earlier. I don't know what to do with that. Everything is official. I will look into Flikr. Does a photo from Flikr embed the same way during editing as the photo will appear on the page the same way? Thank you so much again for you help. I'm just trying do it right. I will also let you know if the photo was deleted. 2601:C:880:721:31A5:BDA4:6663:755F (talk) 20:15, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
You should be ok with the file you uploaded, I doubt it will be deleted. About Flikr let me clarify, if the person that has the rights to the other pictures creates an account and uploads the material they created, they can then license it with the right commons license. You still have to upload the image to commons, but you can then use the licensing information. The same goes if you or anybody posts material for which you have rights in a site (a blog etc.) in which the right commons licensing is included.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 23:21, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
@Crystallizedcarbon: Hi again, I've uploaded, not to commons but to Wikipedia because another photo deleted and I provided with the information as discussed earlier. I've uploaded at Tony Ricca's page the file Tony_Ricca.jpg. Here's what is written when I click on the details of the photo -

Description Tom Ricca as Tony Ricca during a wrestling match Source Was sent to me personally. Date 1991 Author Ricca Brothers Permission (Reusing this file) Evidence: The license agreement has been forwarded to OTRS. Ticket: Was informed there were no OTRS ticket received. An email containing details of the permission for this file has been sent in accordance with WP:OTRS. Note to uploaders: Please copy the URL of this image or article in the email to assist OTRS volunteers to find it. If an email cannot be found in the OTRS system, the content may be deleted for lack of valid licensing information. Note to OTRS volunteers: If the email contains sufficient confirmation of the validity of the license, please replace this template with {{PermissionOTRS|id=Ticket number}} and consider moving to Commons. Otherwise, nominate the file for deletion or delete it. This was taken from a video camera during a match and a still image was made. The author gave me permission to upload it. Please, what can I do about this not being deleted. A ticket from OTRS has never been issued. Thank you for your help. Georgivac (talk) 01:57, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

@Georgivac: I am by no means an expert on this issues, but my advice is that besides making sure to follow all the steps to contact OTRS correctly for the second time, a quicker, and maybe more effective, alternative would be to ask the author to publish the picture on Flickr or any other site under a valid commons license that you can then use, to update the licensing information on the file. Good luck. --Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 08:30, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
@Crystallizedcarbon: Thanks for all of your help and about the information on Flickr. Also, thank you for the help on Gabriella's page.Georgivac (talk) 21:51, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
My Pleasure @Georgivac:. I am glad I could be of help.--Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 07:16, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

Madhusudan Mandir

I wanted to let you know that I deleted the article you nominated for speedy deletion, but not for the reason you stated. The A1 criterion you mentioned only applies to articles in which you can't tell what the subject of the article is because it doesn't have context. However, as a mandir is a Hindu temple, this criterion does not apply as you can properly identify the subject of the article. However, I have deleted the article under the A7 (significance/importance) criterion.--Slon02 (talk) 03:15, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
