Just meant to ping you about this; well done! Also what a fantastic match today, I'm still buzzing! :-) odder (talk) 00:04, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

Oi! :-) odder (talk) 23:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

So I've now verified, referenced and archived final league positions for each season (here). I think we still need to reference the top goalscorer for each season, and archive the rest of references so that they don't break (like the websites of the NWCFL and the Unibond League have). If you think anything else needs fixing/doing, I'm all ears, and feel free to chip in! odder (talk) 12:31, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
On an unrelated topic, your removed Sean Cooke from first team squad, yet club website says he's still a player but currently playing for Nantwich Town on dual registration. I know he hasn't played for F.C. for ages, but hm, if the club says… odder (talk) 12:46, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Hey Odder, that's great work and definitely improves the article immensely! I'll take a closer look this evening and see if I can find anything to correct or add. With regard to a reference for top goalscorers I'd suggest this site. Simply select a season, untick "including cup games", then sort by goals. Cheers Delsion23 (talk) 14:42, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
@Odder: I've had a read through and unless there's anything you'd like to get done, I'd suggest we nominate it soon as I think it looks like it passes. I don't think it looks any worse than the other football club season lists I've been looking at. If anything comes up during the review we can tackle it then. With regard to longer term efforts, how about this?
We could potentially nominate these as a Good Topic. Delsion23 (talk) 19:26, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
I was wondering (as I wrote above) if we need to archive all of the sources used, particularly those referencing average season attendances (as F.C's website is unlikely to go dark any time soon). I added fcunited.ru as the source for the number of goals scored by Patterson during the first season, but am unsure if it's required to have it multiplied for each season (ie. added to each table row)? Seems a bit of an overstretch to me, really. Other than that I see no issues with the article; thank you for copy-editing the lead, by the way.
As for your proposal for a Good Topic nomination, I wholeheartedly agree. Once this is done, we could perhaps focus on getting the main club article and the BP article to featured status. So, to sum up, the order of business is: (1) get the list to featured list status, (2) get those four articles to good topic status and (3) then perhaps work on getting the main articles to FA too (club first, then ground)? Does that sound okay to you? odder (talk) 20:26, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Okay, so I've now archived every single reference used in the list; it should be rock-solid now. I will nominate the list for FL tomorrow morning, will let you know when this is done. odder (talk) 21:55, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
This is now done. Yay! odder (talk) 11:03, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Great stuff! :) I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully it fulfils the criteria and there won't be too many tasks to complete. Cheers Delsion23 (talk) 14:32, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Just by the way, I've now requested a new peer review for the main article, and have updated some of the references used so as to avoid redirects. As you saw, I also shortened the lead, and I'm planning on archiving all the references used in the article the same way I did it at the list of seasons. It'd be awesome if you re-read the article once again to see if there are any obvious issues that need fixing (in particular the constant switching singular and plural forms which was mentioned in the FL nomination). I now realise I'm changing the order of business as mentioned above, but hey, let's be spontaneous once in a while :-) odder (talk) 21:40, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
Great stuff :) I'll keep an eye on it and see if we get much feedback! Delsion23 (talk) 19:54, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi! So I've edited the list article again, but stumbled on a problem that I can't really fix at the moment. Would you mind having a look at this screen recording of mine and telling me if you're experiencing the same issue? I've checked this on my phone running vanilla Android 5.1 (still not on Marshmallow), and I'm having the same issue. Can you see if you can replicate the problem? odder (talk) 10:45, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

@Odder, Yes it is happening for me too. I think it may be due to the multiple rows for the "Other competitions" column. Delsion23 (talk) 10:49, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Hm, I wonder how we can fix that. I tried having a look at other clubs' lists but can't find one that's similar to ours… odder (talk) 10:55, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Hey! I suspect you're probably super busy with work and whatnot, but I was wondering if you've seen the suggestions for improvements left by Cas at the peer review for the club article? I've done the early history bit after researching the topic at the Central Library yesterday (as you probably saw on the forum), but I won't have the time to cover the goal scorers until tomorrow evening at the latest, and likely until Monday. Is this something that you think you could expand on? I'm asking as you wrote those summaries in the first place :-) odder (talk) 15:19, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Hey, yeah I've seen the good work you've been doing expanding the formation section and the sourcing work on the forum :) I'll try and give it a go this weekend. Perhaps some things about Tom Greaves being top scorer in our championship winning year despite having scored the winning goal against us in the playoff final v BPA. Maybe something about mid season signing George Thomson winning player of the year? Cheers Delsion23 (talk) 18:35, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Brilliant! And yes for both suggestions. Not sure if this will satisfy Cas, but it's a step in the right direction. Thanks! odder (talk) 21:28, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
I'm quite sure you got the notification already, but in case you didn't, I've now nominated the article for FA status. Yay! odder (talk) 21:36, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi! I've been trying to address the {{refimprove}} tag you placed a few days ago. I think I've now managed to add sources for all places where they were missing. What I haven't yet done is to study each club's website, to see if the article has got the club's stadium name and capacity correct. I suspect that there may be a few differences in stadium name, and I'll correct those. [regard to stadium capacity, I strongly suspect that very few, if any, of the clubs' websites will quote a capacity. Do you think the best way of handling this would be to remove the capacity column from the relevant tables? Drawoh46 (talk) 07:24, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Drawoh46, the main reason I added the refimprove tag was for the cup results. The mitoo site is broken for one. It would be better if there were more specific references to results (e.g. the actual page on which the results are stored, or reports from local newspaper websites or even club website match reports) as these will be more permanent. I believe NWCFL site has an archive page which can be referenced at the end of the season. I'm not so fussed about the capacities and ground names so long as they are consistent with what is in the infoboxes of the club articles. I think enough work has been done to remove the refimprove tag already though. Cheers, and thanks for your work on these season articles. Delsion23 (talk) 10:30, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Hi again Delsion23. My reason for including the mitoo site in the links for the cup games is that mitoo is generally better than the league's own site as far as fixtures are concerned (usually two or three days ahead of the league site). It may be that the mitoo link appeared broken as it defaulted to the current month, and there are no fixtures or results for April for one of the two cup competitions. I've now changed it to point directly to May. As the league site now has the finals for both cups listed, maybe the mitoo links are now superfluous. I will certainly follow your suggestion of changing the links to the league site to point directly to the results. Your mention of the archives section of the league site prompts me to look at previous seasons' results and tables, and change links to point directly to the correct year's results in the archive section - later this week for that one! Broadhurst Park

Hi Delusion23—success!

Mark Lee has just forwarded to me a statement agreeing to release three of his pictures of Broadhurst Park under CC BY-SA 4.0. I've just uploaded them to Commons and will soon be forwarding the permission to OTRS to have them all marked and archived properly. Please choose the one that you'd like to have in the infobox in the article!

Northern Premier League

Leagues below Level 5 (National League) shouldn't be updated as we have no idea what league teams will be in until the league's constitution has been announced. There is even rumour Division 1 will be split East and West next season as opposed to North and South. Plus clubs can be transferred between leagues at the same level. Anything below the National League is pure speculation until they are confirmed. Kivo (talk) 22:31, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

In that case I suggest the content be moved to the talk page so that it can at least be worked on in preparation. Delsion23 (talk) 23:08, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
One question, Kivo, why do leagues above National League get a special pass in this regard? Is there a specific Wiki policy you can point to? By the same argument, the Premier League could split up in the summer with the creation of a European Super League or something. I don't see why one is speculation and the other is not. Delsion23 (talk) 11:11, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
There are numerous sources to state the Premier League will operate next season, and sides like Leicester, Spurs etc... have already mathematically qualified for it. When it comes to Steps 2-6, this isn't the same. For example, while it is extremely likely that Buxton will be playing in the NPL-Premier next season, it isn't 100% certain quite yet. Afternoon. wondering if you can help with me changing an image on the GNE page. i've updated the average attendances JPEG image in commons, but the new image won't show on the Glossop North End page. i've tried refreshing the edit but it still shows the old image. hope you can help. Hi GNEbandit, it seems to have updated for me. Is there anything I'm missing? Sometimes an image can take a while to update as you have not refreshed your browser cache, thus it is still showing the old image. Even then, it can be temperamental. Hope this helps. Vandalism

Hi. A few football pages were vandalised over night by an anonymous user. I've "undone" some, and another has also been undone, but one page had multiple changes which can probably fixed more easily by someone with Rollback privilege. Do you have such privilege? FA Cup qualifying rounds

Hi there, I've just gone through the FA Cup qualifying rounds articles and moved them to fix incorrect capitalisation as per WP:NCCAPS. I've done them all apart from 1946–47 FA Cup Qualifying Rounds, 1947–48 FA Cup Qualifying Rounds, 1948–49 FA Cup Qualifying Rounds, and 1949–50 FA Cup Qualifying Rounds; those four articles have redirects in place with non-trivial edit history. WP:G6 is only appropriate for non-controversial technical deletions. Given that you moved those four articles back in 2012 from their lower case versions to the current title, I thought I'd enquire with you whether you support restoring the lower case version. If you do, we can proceed with G6. If you don't, it would have to go through a formal move proposal. Please ping me when you reply. Schwede66 19:32, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

@Schwede66:. Hi, I'm fine for these to be moved to the lower case. I moved them to the upper case of consistency with other articles. Seeing as all are now lower case, they should be changed back. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 19:40, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, Delusion23. Could we thus please get some help from a sysop with four lots of G6? Seems not worth it to stick the same template with explanations on those articles. Schwede66 09:44, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Done. That has left some double-redirects, but a bot should fix those within a few hours. JohnCD (talk) 10:37, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

An Addition To A Football Clubs Details

1st time posting so I hope this is the correct way to do it.

I notice that you are involved in the insertion of "Parts of infobox can now be updated centrally" on football clubs in the section where the clubs details are, would it be possible to put an addition to this section on all clubs in the football pyramid? The addition I would like to see added is the level in the football pyramid that that club is currently playing in, ie, Blackpool are in League 2 which is Tier 4, Squires Gate are the North West Counties League Premier Division which is Tier 9 but to a fan who is not familiar to the pyramid system they won't know.

This would be updated centrally and updated automatically.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smithy53 (talkcontribs) 05:04, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Delusion23,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Delusion23. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
