"Malfunctioned pages' links"

I see you have started editing recently, so thank you for this and I hope things go well for you. I came across the article Loch Muick where you removed a link to a missing article (red link) Glen Muick with the edit comment "malfunctioned pages' links removed". I see you have made a lot of other edits with this comment but I have only looked at this one page. This was not really a malfunctioning link but was simply one to an article that does not (yet) exist. There could (and in my view should) be an article on this glen so it is best to keep the link even though it is "broken" at present. See Wikipedia:Red link where it says "Do not remove red links unless you are certain that Wikipedia should not have an article on the subject ...". We do in fact have a (rather poor) article on Glenmuick, the parish, so I have restored the link but pointing to there until we have an article on the geographical area. Best wishes. Thincat (talk) 06:38, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

I see that you are continuing to unlink redlinked articles after the above explanation. Please stop. This is disruptive editing and could lead to you being blocked from editing. Thanks. PamD 06:58, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
But it may be a question of time zones, apologies if you haven't been doing it since the message above. PamD 08:05, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Orphan pages

Hallo, in this edit you removed the {{orphan}} tag saying "(De-orphaned as it has links to other articles)". I think that you misunderstand "orphan". An "orphan" page is one where no articles link to it from elsewhere in the encyclopedia - you can see Special:WhatLinksHere/Anton_Georgiev here that only the article's talkpage and a user talk subpage link to the article, so it is an orphan. A page with no links to other articles is a {{dead end}} page. There is a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it is an interesting journey. Happy Editing. PamD 08:03, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Thanks!

I will keep these things in mind. Thank you for guiding me.Dial911 (talk) 03:25, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Date formats

When you add {{Unreferenced}} templates and date them, please capitalise the month, as I have here, otherwise you generate a non-existent category Category:Articles lacking sources from october 2017 when they should be going into Category:Articles lacking sources from October 2017 (which does exist, and is the category expected by various automated maintenance processes). At the moment those articles you have tagged won't be processed correctly.Le Deluge (talk) 00:54, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

I am sorry. I did not notice the difference. Will keep it in mind now. Thank you so much! Dial911 (talk) 00:56, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 9

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Langara College, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gary Mason (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deletion discussion about Yashodhara Lal

Hello, Dial911,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Yashodhara Lal should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yashodhara Lal .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
