First settlement in New Hampshire[edit]

Hi Fastandslow -- I realize you've been on a mission to let readers know that the first permanent settlement in NH was in Dover. I think we must be talking about two different things when you disagree that the settlement at Odiorne Point came before the one in Dover. Can you please share a published source that says people first settled at Dover before settling at Odiorne Point? After all, the state historical marker indicates that the settlement at Odiorne occurred first. I suspect we're using two different definitions for "first settlement", so it would be useful to know how you're defining it. In the meantime, please do not make further changes unless you provide a link to the source that you're using, so others can evaluate the claim.
